House for a couple

House for a couple

This project is based on the scenario of building a home, in an urban space, that will host a young couple. The starting point of creation and design is Dali's well-known painting "Melted Watches", which influenced the shapes and forms of the space. Using the subtractive approach of the array and the creation of a three-dimensional model, curved shapes have been formed that align in an harmonius way with straight lines, creating different levels in space.

Through these forms, the spaces and rooms of the residence are divided into 2 floors. On the first level we find the day areas that consist of the kitchen, the dining room and a library space, while on a smaller level there is the living room. These spaces are in a single layout with each other offering visual comfort and showing the hospitable mood of the residents. On the second floor we find the private area of the bedroom with a space dedicated exclusively to the couple's wardrobe and their own bathroom.

The use of colors and materials was based on the need of having a warm and welcoming atmosphere. For this reason, stone and wood were used almost in all areas, while the colors are warm and earthy. The couple's bedroom follows a modern approach that gives a simple and minimal space with a sense of luxury.
